Proposed Collection 6 Aqua L1 and Cloud Mask Reprocessing Canceled
After reviewing the science test data produced for January and June 2012, the Univ. of Wisconsin atmosphere group has concluded that there is no compelling need for a reprocessing of the Aqua C6 data as previously proposed for the time period 2009/208 - 2012/183. The initial testing performed on only 9 granules that indicated an appreciable impact on the cloud top properties was discovered to be misleading due to simplifications in the data production to create the MOD06 output for these 9 granules. No reprocessing or modification of the currently available for Aqua C6 L1B or cloud mask products is planned at this time. More information is available at theLAADS Web News Section.
