MOD 29 - Sea Ice Cover
Description:
The MODIS sea ice product suite is composed of products at a range of spatial and temporal resolutions, from 1 km to 0.05° (or ~4 km), and temporal resolu-tions ranging from swath to daily. The sea ice products provide sea ice extent and ice-surface temperature (IST) during daylight and darkness on a polar grid (EASE-Grid). The sea ice products are validated to stage 1 (IST) or stage 2 (ex-tent). IST under frozen conditions is accurate to &plum;1.6K.
